Pillows Make Me Smile

My dear friend just moved away and although I am heartbroken, it has been so much fun getting to hunt for decor for her new home. She is in the process of buying new furniture among other things to fill this new place in Pennsylvania. I will be down visiting in just a few weeks and I can't wait. Since my husband and I are in transition, I am living vicariously through her until we can one day have a place of our own. Nevertheless, it has been very exciting to hear about everything from kitchen appliances to new beds for her daughters. I feel like a sponge soaking up all the possibilities a new home has to offer.

Since I have no need to browse the internet for home decor for myself, I have an excuse to do it now for my friend. Which leads me to.......THROW PILLOWS!!!!! How much more fun can you get? There are literally a million options and even more ways to mix and match. Since my perusing began about 3 months ago, I have found some treasures on etsy I would like to share with you.

Hot Pink Lemonade!!!

Labor Day is coming soon and for those of us up north, summer is going to be drawing to an end before we know it. So, I propose we all take a little time to kick back and enjoy the weather. What better way to do that then with a nice glass of lemonade. Here is a little recipe for you to give youu lemonade a little Le Modish twist.

Hot Pink Lemonade

Ingredients:

1 cup of water

2 cups of white sugar

2 1/4 cups of fresh lemon juice

7 cups of cool water

2 cups of ice

3/4 cup of blueberries

Directions:

Boil one cup of water with the sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until the liquid becomes clear. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice. Pour 7 cups of cool water and ice into a serving pitcher. Add the lemon syrup and blueberries; stir until you get a 'hot pink' color.

Inspiration

So, we have had lots of comments and feedback about the website design... I am so glad you all like it. There was a lot of research that went into finding the perfect textures, prints and framing. I don't know about you, but I love looking at wallpaper and thinking of all of the fun possibilities in my home. We used inspiration from Kelly Wearstler and her wallpaper print is actually used on the website...

She is a master at mixing and matching patterns and prints. Here are few examples of her work...
